Walk-in Centres

Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs) provide urgent medical help when it's not a life-threatening emergency. They can diagnose and deal with many common problems people go to A&E for.

Some websites suggest that you can walk-in to the centres without an appoinment. However, access arrangements can vary depending on demand and capacity on the day.

To avoid unnecessary delays or being redirected, we strongly recommend that you contact NHS111 first so they can advise you on the most appropriate service and, where needed, arrange attendance for you.

GP Trainees & Medical Students

Barrington is proud to be a training practice for GP Trainees and medical students.

The GP trainee's are qualified doctors who are specialising in general practice.  The GP trainee's are with the practice for 6 months.

The medical student's are in their 5th year of medical study and are with the practice for 5 weeks.

Both the trainee's and students are supervised by the regular GPs at the surgery.

If you would prefer to be seen by a regular GP please highlight this when you book your appointment.

There is limited capacity and is strictly for the duration of your appointment only.

Immediately after your appointment has ended you will need to obtain a ticket from reception to exit the car park and this will give you 10 minutes to do so.
